Hello everyone!

We're back again with another Rundown, and this time we thought we would give a few updates plus a list of things Rosie has discovered that she really loves.

This week started out a little rough for Rosie. Early this week she threw up and then refused to eat for about 24 hours, which caused a LOT of drama in our household. We're not sure if it has something to do with a dental issue (she's got a cleaning scheduled in a couple weeks, which should help) or if it was just a hunger strike to convince us to give her more tuna. It was likely the latter, since she started eating again after we mixed a bit of canned tuna in with her wet food. What can I say? If the lady wants a bit of tuna, then tuna she shall have.

She's been back to normal in the last few days, very affectionate and playful with us, and waking us up in the wee hours of the morning for attention and pets. Still a dainty eater, but doing much better! If she survived a hoarding situation, we're sure she can survive just about anything. We'll chat with the vet about it too, don't worry.

Rosie still isn't quite sure about sitting on laps, but IS okay with being carried like the baby she is, if only for about 20 seconds (but those are the fluffiest, softest 20 seconds EVER!). She tolerated the vacuum when Rocky vacuumed the apartment last week, and mostly just seemed grumpy that it woke her up from her nap. Honestly, can you blame her?

Some of Rosie's favorite things:
Napping – under the bed, on the bed, on the dresser, on the bookshelf, occasionally rolling over on hot days to feel the breeze from the fan on her other side, earning her the nickname of Rotisserie Rosie
Waking us up at 5:30 am on the weekends – this is the time I normally get up on weekdays, and she thought we were Not! On! Schedule! And decided to yell at us about it
Being decidedly In The Way – "oh, you needed to get through this doorway? Guess you gotta step around me." "Oh, you wanted to put the sheets on the bed? The elastic part is moving suspiciously, let me attack that for you."
Playing – one wand toy, in particular, is her favorite to hunt and, using all the ambush, attack, and snag-the-duvet-cover techniques she's learned in her little 3 year old kitty life
A feather Rocky found outside – we're not sure how well Rosie would do in real life against a real bird, but we know for sure that for this feather (image 01), it was over before it even started.
Meowing – she loves to chat! We think it's because we talk to her so much that she talks back. She has a huge range of chirps and meows to get her point across (not that we ever know what it is).
A hybrid work-from-home schedule – not for a being so perfect as HER, obviously. But she was very interested in the work computer that came home and the proceedings with getting it set up. She felt very gratified to know that her face is the one on the computer desktop background–it's only natural, after all.
Drawers and closets – Any previously closed space that is now open and full of nooks and crannies to explore are #1 for Miss Rosie! Until she starts making biscuits on my nice sweaters, in which case she's gotta move.
Cocoon bed – this one took her awhile to figure out. We think it's a bit too hot to be her napping abode for now, but it may end up being her ~winter residence~
The words "treat," "babygirl," "brush," and "we love you." She definitely doesn't know what they mean, but she DOES know that they're about her. (She also definitely knows what "AH–AH! Get out of there! You know better!" means, so that's good.)
Well, we're off to go pick up some cat food, human food, and other necessities at Ralphs. Join us next time to find out what new drawers she's gotten into, if she can learn to tolerate having her teeth brushed, and if she picked up what Rocky explained to her about how our weekly schedule works!

Until next time!
Ellie, Rocky, and Rosie

P.S. Some of the photos we included don't have anything to do with our Favorite Things list above, but they were too cute not to put in! Enjoy!
